Tihange reprimanded security

- The Belgian nuclear watchdog has energy company Electrabel for the second time reprimanded in a year for safety in the nuclear power plant of Tihange 3. This reported the Belgian newspaper De Morgen Saturday.

It involves two incidents, dating from May 26 and May 30, in which experts of the FANC (Federal Agency for Nuclear Control) violations observed on the safety. Twice went to the negligence of the staff.

On May 26 it was found that one of the systems which measure the pressure in the cooling circuit of the nuclear reactor Tihange 3 were not to. On May 30, it was found that a device that measures the radioactivity of the control room of Tihange 3 remain was in test mode for several days and are not working. Safety was never compromised, but the specialists they FANC these incidents worth mentioning, and a reason to take action.
