oslo - Tidal would not have been honest about the number of paying subscribers associated with the music service. According to the Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv argues Spotify-competitor rapicoon Jay Z which has 3 million paying customers, while there are actually 850,000.

The numbers appear according to the newspaper from a lawsuit between Jay Z and the previous owner of Tidal, the Swedish company Aspiro AB. During the acquisition by Jay Z would be a misrepresentation been made whereby the retail price of the service a lot higher unpacked. The rapper eventually paid more than 50 million for Tidal.
