tishrin dam, syria - PKK/YPG attacks around Tishrin Dam lead to displacement of thousands of civilians in Syria.

PKK/YPG Attacks on Tishrin Dam

The terrorist organization PKK/YPG's attacks around Tishrin Dam have targeted residential areas where thousands of civilians live.

The terrorists have been carrying out attacks with heavy weapons on 10 villages on the western side of Tishrin Dam, affecting around 50,000 civilians.

Thousands of Civilians Forced to Flee

The indiscriminate attacks by PKK/YPG have displaced thousands of residents in the region, forcing them to seek refuge in distant areas, leaving them deprived of basic services especially during harsh winter conditions.

Some civilians have lost their lives in PKK/YPG's attacks and due to the detonation of mines laid by the terrorists, but aid teams are unable to reach the bodies for burial.

Situation in e-Shash Village

More than 150 civilians have been held captive by PKK/YPG militants in e-Shash village, where residents struggle to survive without basic needs.

Call for Humanitarian Aid

Local residents demand the cessation of bombings and the provision of necessary humanitarian aid in the region.

Within the scope of Operation Dawn of Freedom, the Syrian National Army (SNA) forces, which liberated Münbiç from terrorists on December 9, 2024, are in conflict with PKK/YPG terrorists around Tishrin Dam located in the southeastern part of the district.
