Thomas Cook takes tourists away from Gambia

banjul - British tour operator Thomas Cook on Wednesday began the evacuation of nearly a thousand vacationers from Gambia. The organization takes the tourists away, after President Yahya Jammeh had declared a state of emergency and the risk of unrest is high.
Thomas writes in a statement on its website that its contingency Heef activated and the next 48 hours additional flights will use to bring 985 tourists with a package from the small West African country.
Also tries to explain the organization contact with another 2,500 customers who have only booked a flight.
