thailand - Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra declares a wealth of $400 million, including over 200 luxury bags worth $2 million and at least 75 luxury watches worth $5 million.

Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has declared a wealth of $400 million, including over 200 luxury bags worth $2 million and at least 75 luxury watches worth $5 million. The Prime Minister, who owns properties in Thailand, the UK, and Japan, also possesses other assets such as 108 rings, 205 pairs of earrings, and 9 custom-designed toys.

The youngest daughter of billionaire politician Thaksin Shinawatra, Paetongtarn Shinawatra (38), took office in August 2024 after her predecessor Srettha Thavisin was dismissed by the Constitutional Court for ethical violations. She became the third member of the Shinawatra family to govern the country. The Shinawatras, ranked among Thailand's richest families, are estimated to have a net worth of $2.1 billion. While Thailand has made rapid progress in reducing poverty over the past twenty years according to the World Bank, it still remains the country with the highest income-based inequality in East Asia and the Pacific.
