bangkok - Nine people in Thailand have been arrested for a wave of cyber attacks on websites of government. They would last week, dozens of government sites have shut down in protest against a law restricting Internet.

Thailand has since 2014 a military government, which is not served by public criticism. In addition, the Thais revere their royal family. Criticism of the king, the crown prince or even the royal pets can be punished by up to 15 years in prison. Previously, people could even their ears, feet and hands lose if they said something wrong.
