manbij, syria - A terror attack in Manbij claims the lives of 17, including 14 female agricultural workers, with 16 others injured.

Attack Targets Agricultural Workers

In a heinous act of terror, a bomb-laden vehicle exploded on a main road in Manbij, resulting in the tragic loss of 17 lives, including 14 female agricultural workers, and leaving 16 others wounded. The injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals, with concerns over a possible increase in the death toll.

Main Suspect: PKK/YPG

While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, local security forces are investigating the possibility of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG being behind the heinous act. This attack marks one of the bloodiest incidents since the change in administration in Syria. Notably, this is the second attack in three days in Manbij, following another bombing on Saturday in the city center that resulted in the deaths of four civilians, including children, and the injury of nine others. The Turkey-backed Syrian National Army forces liberated Manbij from PKK/YPG control during the Operation Euphrates Shield on December 9, 2024.
