Tens of thousands argue in Paris against Macron

paris - Tens of thousands of French people went to the streets of Paris on Saturday to argue against the policies of President Emmanuel Macron. The initiators of the campaign said that between 30,000 and 40,000 people took to the streets in the capital.

According to a census by a group of French media, including the BFMTV channel, 31,700 people were arguing in Paris. The police held it to 21,000 activists. BMFTV reported that at least seven agents were injured by objects that protestors threw at them. The police picked up 35 people for inter alia disrupting the order. People also went out on the streets outside of Paris.

The protest campaign was organized by about sixty organizations, including a number of trade unions and the far left party La France Insoumise (the inflexible France).

Opponents of Macron accuse the president that he primarily represents the interests of wealthy compatriots and the business community.
