Syrian peace talks in Kazakhstan continues

moscow - There will be a continuation of the peace talks on Syria in Kazakhstan. That Iranian President Hassan Rohani said on Tuesday at the end of his two-day visit to Moscow. A date for the next round he called not.

Iran, Russia and Turkey, the initiator of the talks in Astana. Rohani was speaking in the Russian capital, among others, with President Vladimir Poetin. The next item was the situation in Syria and Yemen. Both countries signed in the Kremlin also an agreement on cooperation in the oil and gas industry.

Earlier in the day the Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif already known that Russia may make occasional use of Iranian military bases to launch air strikes on terrorist targets in Syria. That happened last summer already. Then it led to commotion in parliament. Now it emphasizes that it does not involve deployment of fighter aircraft of the Russian Air Force but cooperative in special cases.
