syria - The Syrian interim government is working on removing content that praises the deposed Assad regime from the education curriculum. Changes are being made to ensure a more neutral and factual teaching material.

The Syrian interim government, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), is making efforts to remove content that praises the deposed Assad regime from the education curriculum. Education Minister Nazir al-Kadri announced changes to the curriculum in schools.

Kadri stated that they have given instructions to remove content praising the deposed Assad regime from the curriculum, saying, 'We have used revolutionary flags instead of regime flags in all textbooks.'.

Education Minister Kadri emphasized that the curriculum will remain unchanged until necessary adjustments are made, adding, 'The announced changes only concern correcting some erroneous information used in the Islam Education curriculum by the Assad regime. For example, instead of misinterpretations of some Quran verses, we have based the correct explanations on what is written in the interpretation books at all education levels.'
