Syria recaptures town on Islamic State

- Syrian government forces with the support of heavy Russian air attacks a town recaptured by terror group Islamic State (IS).

It is about the city Khanaser near a road leading to Aleppo, reported the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Thursday.

Khanaser is located about 50 kilometers to the southeast of Aleppo. IS took two days ago owned by the city. According to Syrian state media, the army has restored,, security and stability '' in Khanaser.

It is not clear whether the way to Aleppo, which was closed by the attack of IS, is open again. Syrian government forces use this road to reach Aleppo, as rebels still have control of the main highway into town further west.
