Switzerland is closing money supply to Oxfam

bern - Switzerland has suspended its donations to the British aid organization Oxfam. The reason is the (sexual) misconduct of aid workers after the earthquake in Haiti in 2010.

The Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs demands 'watertight clarification of events', according to a spokesman. Bern transferred almost 18 million euros to Oxfam between 2013 and 2017.

Oxfam United Kingdom published the full internal report on misconduct on Monday. Employees of Oxfam hired young prostitutes for sex parties in Haiti during the relief operation after the devastating earthquake. The report was written in 2011, after research in Haiti, following reports of abuse.
