chalon-sur-saône - Envelopes containing powder were sent to a private high school in Chalon-sur-Saône, France, with traces of plague bacteria found in one of the envelopes. Authorities are investigating the incident.

Authorities in Chalon-sur-Saône, France, revealed that envelopes with powder were sent to a private high school in the city center. Traces of plague bacteria were discovered in one of the envelopes, which were sent from abroad. As a precautionary measure, individuals who may have come into contact with the envelope have been taken to an isolated section of a local hospital for examination. There are currently no indications that anyone has fallen ill due to the plague bacteria. The sender of the letters and the motive behind the act remain unknown.

Back in July, a letter with dark powder containing plague traces was found in a postal sorting center near Dijon. The letter was addressed to the former Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin.
