dortmund - The suspect of the attack on Borussia Dortmund's player bus probably did not have any accomplices. On Friday, Serge W. kept the Public Prosecutor's Office (OM) in charge of no other suspects.

The 28-year-old Russian-German man was arrested in Tubingen in the state of Baden-Württemberg. He worked there at the district heating service.

Justice suspects that the suspect had a financial motive for the attack. By speculating on a drop in the club, the man reportedly hoped to earn a lot of money.

The man is suspected of attempted murder and serious bodily injury. The OM revealed that the man had bought derivatives, speculating on a fall in Borussia shares. According to the magazine Der Spiegel, he had borrowed 40,000 euros in order to finance the expenses.

According to the newspaper Bild, the police could be traced by bank staff to the suspect because he issued tens of thousands of euros for the purchase of the derivatives. The behavior of the man during the attack also drove alarm bells. While most of the hotels in which he stayed scared, the suspect used a steak in the restaurant. He also specifically asked for a room overlooking the street, to allow remote explosives to escape.

The attack just over a week ago, defeated Marc Bartra van Dortmund and an agent. Borussia Dortmund thanked the authorities for the detention of the suspect. 'The research is particularly intense and under pressure,' said Hans-Joachim Watzke, director of the football club.
