brussels - Main suspect Mehdi Nemmouche and his alleged henchman Nacer Bendrer at the attack on the Jewish Museum in Brussels in May 2014 must stand trial before a people's jury. The attack demanded the lives of two Israeli tourists, a volunteer and an employee of the museum.

Three of them were shot images of surveillance cameras by a man with a Kalashnikov, the fourth victim died in the hospital. The perpetrator escaped.

Nemmouche was arrested in Marseille a week after the attack with weapons and an IS flag. The Frenchman has known involvement, but does not say he is the shooter. Bendrer was arrested in December 2014 at Marseille, also with weapons in his possession. He denies any involvement in the attack. France delivered both to Belgium.

The process for the so-called Assize Court probably starts in January.
