Suspects arrested for 30 years old murder

ballycastle - About thirty years after the murder of a German backpacker, two suspects were arrested in Northern Ireland on suspicion of involvement.

The body of the raped Inga Maria Hauser from Munich was found in 1988 in a remote forest area in Northern Ireland. The eighteen-year-old was seen alive on a ferry from Scotland two weeks before her disappearance. The suspect men are 58 and 61 years old.

In April, exactly thirty years after the murder, the police had again asked the population for information about the case. Research showed that several people were probably directly involved in the murder or in concealing it.

According to the police, the case was not definitively resolved with the arrest of the two suspects. A few puzzle pieces have to be laid for this.
