A 61-year-old man surfing in Maui, Hawaii, was attacked by a shark on Friday. Emergency services tried to stop the bleeding after the attack, but unfortunately, the man's leg could not be saved. He was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center in critical condition for treatment of his injuries.
Following the attack, authorities closed the beach where it occurred and urged visitors to stay out of the water.
