seoul - Hundreds of supporters of suspended South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol have gathered at the presidential grounds to prevent Yoon's arrest. The police are trying to clear the demonstrators but they refuse to move.

Hundreds of supporters of the suspended South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol have gathered at the presidential grounds to prevent his arrest. The police are attempting to disperse the demonstrators, but they are refusing to move. Some protesters have even laid down on the street to make it difficult for them to be removed. A woman threw herself in front of a police bus with her arms outspread to prevent it from moving any further.

Yoon was voted out by parliament last month after he unexpectedly declared a state of military emergency and tried to sideline parliament. This led to large protests against Yoon, and on Thursday, there are people at the presidential grounds calling for his arrest. The police are trying to keep the two sides apart, but according to anti-Yoon protesters, there have been confrontations with the president's supporters.
