- A sudden surge is most likely the cause of the capsizing of a whale watcher boat in Canada. The boat was already unstable because nearly all passengers to one side stood on the top deck to watch a group of sea lions. That's the preliminary finding of the Canadian Research Council TSB.
The capsize of the boat last Sunday took six people's lives ; five Britons and one Australian. The ship had sailed in Tofino, a tourist attraction where tourists annually from around the world come by boat to see the whales in the Pacific Ocean.
