Stranded tourists picked islands in Indian Ocean

- With ships and helicopters have rescuers nearly 3,000 tourists from islands met in the Indian Ocean in a few days. Because of the bad weather since Monday travelers were stuck on the islands of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

'All the tourists are brought to safety,' reported the head of the regional disaster Saturday. The area suffers from the storm Vardah.

Under the 2775 tourists evacuated about 350 foreigners, including Germans, Italians and Russians. The archipelago is part of India and consists of about 500 islands.
