europe - Storm Boris, which has been wreaking havoc across Europe, is now hitting Italy, causing rivers to overflow and leading to alarming situations in various towns and cities.

Storm Boris continues to wreak havoc across Europe, with villages under water in countries such as Poland, Czechia, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania. Residents are stranded, waiting for evacuations and hoping for the water to recede. The situation is dire, with many lacking electricity and clean drinking water. Rescue workers are seen in boats trying to reach victims, but the death toll has already reached 24, with Boris showing no signs of slowing down.

Now, the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna falls victim to Storm Boris, as heavy rainfall causes rivers to rapidly rise, leading to flooding in villages and towns. Authorities warn residents to evacuate to safety as the situation deteriorates.

In the coming days, warnings for extreme weather conditions remain in place for Emilia-Romagna and the neighboring Marche region. Schools are closed, and people are advised to avoid travel and work from home to stay safe.

Though the weather is stabilizing in some areas, the ground remains saturated, causing rivers to overflow their banks. More casualties are expected as the days progress.

In Poland, the cities of Opole and Wroclaw are on high alert for potential floods if levees break, while Austria and Romania also continue to monitor water levels closely to prevent further disasters.
