amsterdam - The housing market is becoming increasingly difficult for starters. According to De Hypotheekshop, in particular, housing houses hit up to 200,000 euros.

The number of houses for sale is decreasing rapidly. Last April, a total of 137,000 houses were available on Funda for sale, last month there were 103,000. That's the day of AD Wednesday.

'There are fewer homes available for potential buyers,' says Mark de Rijke van De Hypotheekshop. The decline mainly plays starters.

In particular, fewer apartments and new buildings are found and houses in the category between 100,000 and 200,000 euros. Below the 2 tons there are now about 35,000 homes for sale, in April 2016 there were still 55,000.

The Association of Real Estate Agents (NVM) already estimates the total deficit of around 200,000 homes.
