In the Berlin district of Charlottenburg, two people were stabbed on Tuesday. The police have arrested a Syrian resident of Sweden.
The perpetrator allegedly stole the knife used in the attack from the supermarket. Several bystanders intervened when they saw the attacker and subdued him.
According to the police, the suspect shows signs of mental health issues. The local newspaper BZ Berlin also reported that the perpetrator is mentally ill and that the incident was not terrorism-related.
