united states - Special prosecutor's report sheds light on potential legal consequences for former President Donald Trump if he had lost the election.

Special prosecutor Jack Smith, who led the investigation into the January 6 Capitol Riot and Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 elections, has released a report outlining the potential legal implications for Trump if he had lost the 2024 elections. According to the report, Trump could have faced charges for attempting to manipulate the election and inciting the storming of the Capitol Building.

The report, published by the Department of Justice, dismissed Trump's claims of a 'witch hunt' and emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law. It concluded that Trump's efforts to retain power after losing the election involved numerous criminal acts aimed at subverting the democratic process.

Special prosecutor Smith stated that the investigation fully supported the indictment against Trump, which was blocked by his election victory. Smith affirmed his commitment to pursuing the case against Trump and stated that the evidence would have been sufficient to convict Trump in court if his 2024 election victory had not hindered the prosecution.

Responding to the report, Trump launched a tirade against prosecutor Smith on his Truth Social account, calling the findings fake and questioning the prosecutor's integrity. Trump's comments included insults and accusations against President Biden and political opponents.
