madrid - During the 9th Spanish Ambassadors Conference in Madrid, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez emphasized the need to further strengthen relations with Turkey within the context of the Middle East.

Speaking at the conference in Madrid which will conclude today after lasting for 2 days, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated that they need to further strengthen their relations with Turkey as part of their policies in the Middle East.

Sanchez highlighted that Spain acts based on peace, stability, international law, and respect for human rights in both the Middle East and Ukraine.

Emphasizing the importance of increasing dialogues with regional countries in the Middle East, Sanchez said, 'We need to further strengthen our relations with Turkey.'

Criticizing the far-right, Sanchez noted the existence of reactionary international forces aiming to destroy the European project, weaken Europe, and create division.

Sanchez pointed out the need to strengthen the European Union's foreign policy, stating, 'It is time to stand against those trying to divide Europe.'

Sanchez affirmed that they will not abandon the values in their constitution and will defend and promote them more resolutely, even as the world becomes increasingly polarized.

Sanchez also mentioned that one of Spain's foreign policy goals is to support strong and effective relations with the US and China in a multilateral manner, highlighting Spain's role as one of the biggest supporters of the EU.

He added that they will work to strengthen security and defense industries, but emphasized that they will never engage in a new arms race with a militaristic approach.
