SpaceX Mission Delayed for Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams
Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have been staying at the ISS space station since June. Originally scheduled to return in 8 days, delays with their Starliner spacecraft from Boeing have prolonged their stay.
The planned mission departure on Wednesday evening was moved up by two weeks under pressure from President Donald Trump and his advisor Elon Musk.
NASA assures that the experienced astronauts were never in danger during their extended stay. Williams expressed concerns about their families back on Earth but mentioned they are enjoying their mission in space.
NASA initially aimed for a launch on Thursday night to Friday Dutch time but had to reschedule. The latest update states the launch is now expected at the earliest on Friday night to Saturday.
