seoul - South Korean President Moon Jae-in believes that the planned summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump could lead to the complete dismantling of the North Korean nuclear program.

The summit, which may take place in May, should lead to the removal of nuclear weapons and the stopping of nuclear tests on the Korean peninsula. Both Koreas have had talks about this in recent days and the agreement was that South Korea would announce the outcome of these talks to the American government.

Trump has accepted the invitation to the summit meeting with Kim. He got that Thursday evening through a message from the South Korean security advisor Chung Eui-yong, who spoke with Kim in North Korea in recent days. Initially it was reported that Trump had received a letter from Kim, but later Chung reported that it was a personal message.
