Son Escobar also drug lord? Justice thinks so

buenos aires - The widow and son of Pablo Escobar, the world's most famous drug lord, have been officially charged with laundering drug money in Argentina.

Victoria Henao and Juan Pablo Escobar Henao both have a different name: son Juan changed his name to 'Sebastián Marroquín', mother is called 'Maria Isabel Santos Caballero'. The two are, according to Argentinian justice, part of a criminal organization.

Victoria and Juan Pablo would launder money through homes and a tango café. Also Mauricio 'Chicho' Serna Valencia, a former football player of the club Boca Juniors, has been sued in the case.

Escobar was the world's richest drug dealer and was the head of the Medellin cartel. He was shot dead in 1993 by a policeman.

Son Juan, alias Sebastián, previously read news headlines in a book describing how Escobar cooperated with the CIA, so the US could finance the struggle with communism in Central America.
