Somali minister accidentally shot dead
mogadishu - The Somali Minister of Construction and Infrastructure, Abbas Siraji, was accidentally shot dead by security officers on Wednesday near the presidential palace in Mogadishu. Some of his bodyguards were injured. That made police commissioner Mohamed Hassan famous.
According to him, bodyguards of Nur Jimal Farah, the head of the General Court, opened a fire on the car with Siraji on a checkpoint on the assumption that there were terrorists. In the Somali capital, al-Shabaab's Islamic jihadists regularly attack attacks. That is why government officials and senior officials are on their way alone with heavy-duty guards.
