'Soldiers slain in Turkey '

ankara - Five soldiers and a policeman were killed in southeastern Turkey. This happened during an anti-terror operation in the province of Mardin, sources said Saturday against state news agency Anadolu. It is still unclear what exactly happened.

Southeastern Turkey is frequently rocked by violence. So earlier this week fell seven killed in a bomb attack on a police van in the city of Diyarbakir. The Kurdish separatist PKK claimed responsibility for the assault.
