In a Colorado ski resort, a ski lift was automatically stopped on Saturday after a crack was detected in a structural component. Jen Miller, a spokesperson for the ski resort, initiated the evacuation process which lasted about five hours. The occupants were safely lowered down one by one using ropes. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the rescue operation.
The cause of the incident is currently under investigation. The damaged part of the lift is being replaced to ensure the safety of visitors.
