Six Greenpeace activists released Spain

cadiz - The six Greenpeace activists who were stuck on a ship in Spain are free. The environmentalists have been released by the Spanish authorities in the port of Algeciras near Gibraltar. This happened after they were detained for 33 hours on board a ship carrying palm oil to the Netherlands.

The activists wanted with their entry that the company would prove that the palm oil does not come from plantations that destroy the rainforest. Before the six were secured, they rolled out banners.

The ship was climbed on Saturday by volunteers from Greenpeace International from Indonesia, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Canada and the US during a peaceful protest against forest palm cover in Indonesia.

No one has filed a complaint against the campaigners.
