Singer compares activist with Anne Frank

tel aviv - Israeli radio stations have been called by the Ministry of Defense to stop dialing songs by singer Jonathan Geffen and to stop interviewing him. The singer is discredited because he compared the Palestinian Ahed Tamimi, a sixteen-year-old prisoner, with the Jewish Anne Frank.

Activist Ahed Tamini was arrested in December after she hit an Israeli soldier in the face. The singer wrote on Instagram that this action was intended as a reaction to the fifty-year Israeli occupation. According to the singer she is in line with the French national heroine Jeanne d'Arc and the Jewish resistance fighter Hannah Szenes and Anne Frank, who is world famous by her diary.
