freetown - The West African country of Sierra Leone has been declared for the third time Ebola free. There is no new case of the disease set out in the last 42 days, twice the incubation period for Ebola. This was announced by the World Health Organization.

Sierra Leone has also been declared Ebola free in November and January, but the last time popped up a new case within twenty-four hours on.

Neighboring Guinea succeeded in curbing the epidemic in December. Liberia managed to halt Ebola in January.

Has the highly contagious disease in the past two years to more than 11 300 people killed.
