Shot dies after 54 years in hospital

airdrie - A man from Scotland died after a hospital stay of almost 55 years. James Morris was taken in 1962 with a broken leg after a car accident, but he got a cardiac arrest on the operating table and ended up in coma. Then he was 21 years old. In April, he died at the age of 75, British media reported Tuesday.

The man was in a vegetative state. He learned three words saying: home, pub and horses. 'Over time, we found a way to communicate with him. He was totally spiritual, but could not communicate with us at all, 'says his brother Karl. 'We often took him on vacation and the hospital knew how much he loved the pub, so they brought him there occasionally. 'The family is very grateful to the hospital.
