According to the German newspaper Bild, several individuals have been injured in a shooting incident at the courthouse in Bielefeld, located in the northeastern part of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Eyewitnesses have reported multiple individuals lying on the ground, with one person undergoing resuscitation efforts. Emergency services are on the scene in large numbers.

Bild has indicated that the trial against the shot boxer Besar Nimani (38) commenced on Wednesday morning at 9:00 am. Around 1:30 pm, shortly after the trial concluded, gunshots were heard – approximately 150 meters from the courthouse exit. One suspect has been apprehended, while a second individual is reportedly barricaded inside a building. A police helicopter is circling above the area.
