Shooter synagogue US can get death penalty

washington - The man who opened fire on Saturday in a synagogue in the American city of Pittsburgh can get the death penalty. He is being prosecuted for several criminal offenses, including a hate crime. That's what Justice Minister Jeff Sessions said.
'Hatred and violence based on religion can not have a place in our society,' Sessions said. 'These alleged crimes are reprehensible and utterly revolting in the light of the values of this nation. '
According to American media, the shooter is Robert Bowers, who posted anti-Semitic texts on social media. He was taken to the hospital injured. Eight people lost their lives during the shooting.
