Seven killed in attack in Yemen

sanaa - In an attack on a complex of the Yemeni government forces in the southeast of the country at least seven people were killed Thursday, including several civilians.

More than ten people were injured in three explosions in the city of Mukalla, reported eyewitnesses.

One of the blasts is attributed to the perpetrator of a suicide attack, a car packed with explosives blew up in the air.

Islamic State (IS) would have claimed the attack using a web-distributed message, but that's not confirmed yet. The IS fighters have recently responsible for several attacks in Yemen.

Only a week ago, government forces recaptured the city of Mukalla on fighters of al-Qaeda. Wednesday, eight people were killed in a suicide attack in eastern Yemen. There were seventeen wounded, including General Abdul-Rahman al-Halili. He is the commander of a major army unit President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
