Senators want Mueller dismissal protection

washington - The US Congress must be serious about legislation to protect special prosecutor Robert Mueller and his investigation into possible Russian involvement in the Donald Trump election campaign. Republican senators Susan Collins and Lindsey Graham expressed their concern, separately from each other, about the news that the president has attempted to dismiss Mueller.

'I have a bill ready to protect Mr. Mueller and please submit it for approval tomorrow,' said Graham Sunday in ABC's 'This Week' program. Collins spoke to CNN in 'State of the Union' in similar terms. 'In view of the latest stories, it can be absolutely no harm to build in that extra guarantee ''.
