Senator Rand Paul fiercely against appointment Mike Pompeo

washington - Senator Rand Paul has said he will 'do everything' to prevent Mike Pompeo and Gina Haspel from being appointed as foreign minister and director of the CIA. The Republican from Kentucky admitted on TV at CBS News that he probably will not be able to stop these nominees by President Donald Trump.

Paul, who regularly disturbed his party colleague Trump, told in the 'Face the Nation' program that instead of Pompeo his preference is for someone who does not 'argue for war', especially against Iran and North Korea. Trump presented the current CIA boss as the successor of Rex Tillerson who had been dismissed via Twitter.
