new york - The outcome of the elections in the United States has led to disappointment among Democrats, as reflected in Google search queries. Searches related to 'moving to Australia' surged by 820 percent in the 24 hours following the initial results. However, it seems that the most popular destination for potential emigration among Americans is Canada or New Zealand. Searches for emigrating to Canada increased by 1270 percent, while those for New Zealand skyrocketed by almost 2000 percent. These search volumes are considered record-high by Google.

In the 24 hours after the first results, search terms related to 'moving to Australia' surged by 820 percent. Emigrating to Canada or New Zealand appears to be particularly popular in America. A similar search term combined with Canada saw a 1270 percent increase, and regarding New Zealand, an increase of nearly 2000 percent was observed. According to statistics from Immigration New Zealand, the website recorded approximately 25,000 new users from the US on November 7. This represents 23,500 more registrations on the same day compared to the previous year. Immigration lawyers are inundated with inquiries. "Every half hour, a new question arrives via email," said Evan Green, managing partner at Green and Spiegel, Canada's oldest immigration law firm.
