washington, usa - Two men have been found dead in a remote forest in the state of Washington, USA, after allegedly searching for the mythical creature Bigfoot.

In an isolated forest in the American state of Washington, two men, aged 37 and 59, from Portland, Oregon, were found dead. Authorities reported that the men were on a quest to find the mythical creature Bigfoot.

For three days, rescue workers searched for the two men after a family member alerted emergency services when the duo failed to return from a trip to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. They were searching for evidence of Bigfoot.

Over sixty volunteers were involved in the search for the missing duo, using dogs in heavily wooded terrain and harsh weather conditions. Drones and a helicopter team from the coast guard were also deployed.

Ultimately, the two men were found lifeless. The deaths were attributed to the freezing weather conditions and "poor preparation," according to a statement from the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office.

In the northwest United States and western Canada, hundreds of sightings of Bigfoot, also known as 'Sasquatch,' have been reported. Alongside the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot is one of the world's most famous mythical creatures.

There have been so many alleged sightings that some communities have taken measures to protect the hairy mythical being. In Skamania County, where the duo went missing, harming one of the mythical creatures can result in a year in prison or a fine of $1,000.
