sanaa - The Houthi rebels in Yemen accuse Saudi Arabia of killing eleven women on Saturday night who came from a wedding. Saudi aircraft carried out three attacks on a procession of visitors who had visited a wedding party in the Marib province.
Health authorities in the capital Sanaa accused the Saudis on Sunday. However, these authorities are completely under the control of the rebellious Houthis. The military coalition fighting against the Houthis under the leadership of Saudi Arabia in Yemen refused to comment on the allegation.
The coalition has been conducting air strikes against Houthi rebels since March 2015, supporting the government of Yemen. Incidentally, civilian casualties often occur during these bombing raids. One of the worst incidents occurred in 2016, when 140 people were killed during a funeral ceremony.
The Yemeni civil war has killed some 7000 people since 2015.
