Sandra Hellemans Convicted for the Murder of Ichelle van de Velde

After more than four years of legal struggle, Sandra Hellemans, the Flemish murderer of Ichelle van de Velde, has been definitively convicted.

The High Court has ruled that the appeal filed by the suspect was inadmissible, and the sentence imposed in the appeal has become final.

The family and friends of the murdered Ichelle van de Velde can finally breathe a sigh of relief after a legal battle lasting over four years.

Ichelle van de Velde, 29, was brutally murdered after a dispute with Sandra Hellemans, a Flemish mother who ran a shop next to Ichelle's vintage sewing store in Oostburg.

Hellemans confessed to a love triangle involving Ichelle and her ex-husband Felix, leading to a tragic end for Ichelle.

Hellemans was sentenced to eighteen years in prison for the premeditated murder of Ichelle, a sentence that has now been finalized.

Ichelle's father, Rob, expressed relief at the closure of the case, stating that it marks the beginning of a new chapter for their family.
