Safe Signal chat app now on your desktop

- Safe Signal chat app also has a desktop version. The app, which is built around strong encryption was previously only available on iOS and Android.

The desktop application must, as with WhatsApp, are coupled via a QR code read by the mobile phone. How the app works to further calls to send secure, is not yet clear.

Signal aims high because of good security. Include Edward Snowden and security expert Bruce Schneier promote the app running. WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger use by Signals parent company Open Whisper Systems has developed encryption.
