washington - Russian fighter aircraft have saddled targets to the east of the river Euphrates near the Syrian city of Deir al-Zor. As a result, several soldiers of the Syrian Democratic Armed Forces (SDF) have been injured.
These Kurdish and Arab militias are part of the coalition led by the Americans against the Islamic State.
The Pentagon said the Russians knew that SDF troops and their advisors stopped in that area.
