Military correspondent Alexander Garmajev previously shared images of units receiving ammunition from a donkey on February 4. The Telegram channel 'Military Informant' has also documented multiple instances of donkeys being used by the Russian military.

Political figures have not denied the use of these animals in military operations. Lieutenant General Viktor Sobolev, a member of the Defense Committee of the Russian State Duma, described the use of pack animals by the military as a 'normal' practice, emphasizing the importance of preserving the lives of soldiers and officers in the special military operation zone.
