moscow - Russia has blocked the Chinese app WeChat, which has around 900 million users worldwide. That is what the Chinese newspaper reports South China Morning Post on Saturday.
WeChat is China's largest chat app and is owned by the world's largest non-US internet company Tencent. According to Russia, WeChat refuses to register with the telecom authorities of that country.
China itself has been blocking western services for some time, such as Facebook and Twitter.
