Robots replace workers at PLUS

utrecht - Supermarket chain PLUS close four regional distribution centers. Thereby lost the next three years, 260 jobs. Those workers are replaced by a completely mechanical system in a new distribution center in Tiel.

It involves the distribution in Haaksbergen Central Beemster, Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht and Ittervoort. There were about seven hundred people, including auxiliaries. Together they fill 435 full-time equivalents (FTE). The new center in Tiel is good for 250 FTE, which is expected to 175 FTEs will be filled with current employees.
