tel aviv - Recent accounts of freed hostages shed light on the brutal acts of Hamas, including sadistic games and starvation tactics.

Brutal Acts Unveiled

Recent revelations from former hostages expose the inhumane treatment by Hamas. Hostages were forced to wear traditional Arab clothing, wash with cold water, and were taunted with false promises of release. Some were tricked into recording farewell messages, believing they were facing execution.

Keith Siegel, a recently released captive, shared his harrowing experience of being starved and coerced to consume non-vegan food in Gaza. The lack of food led to significant weight loss among the hostages, including Siegel.

Despite the dire conditions, moments of relief emerged during the 16-month captivity. Ofer Calderon, who believed his son was dead, found solace in hearing his son's voice on the radio. However, uncertainty remains for Yarden Bibas, who awaits news of his missing family.

The hostages endured physical abuse, confinement in cages, and had to adapt to living in houses and tunnels. Communication with the captors necessitated learning Arabic. Female hostages were subjected to domestic chores and minimal food rations, highlighting the deplorable conditions.

Thais captives faced similar mistreatment, enduring physical abuse and false hopes of release. Gadi Moses and Arbel Yehud navigated through hostile crowds upon their release, reflecting the challenges faced by long-term captives.

As Daniella Gilboa reunites with her family, the nation hopes for a positive outcome for the Bibas family. The psychological warfare waged by Hamas through false videos adds to the trauma endured by the hostages.
